Abstract | |||
U.S. AIDS Cancer Match. Update of the AIDS Cancer Match Registry study in 11 U.S. states or cities during 2003-2004 will provide valuable information on the effects of HAART-mediated reconstitution of immunity on lymphoma risk. The incidence of lymphoma in the pre-HAART and HAART eras will be compared to quantify this effect. Analyses will consider lymphoma subtype by histologic subtype (Burkittlymphoma, DLBCL, Hodgkin's lymphoma) and site (CNS, other extranodal, nodal). Those occurring in long-term survivors may be good candidates for seeking new virus associations. Additional analyses will incorporate time relative to AIDS diagnosis and, when available, data about CD4 count, HIV viral load, and HIV therapy. |
